[00:00:00] Speaker A: All right, well, we're in Exodus, chapter 40. [00:00:04] Speaker B: We're at the last verses from 34 to 38. And so we're finishing the book of Exodus today. Next week, I'm going to do the whole book of Exodus in one sermon. And so we'll just do a recap of sort of the things that the Lord's been teaching us. And then what we're going to do is we're going to jump into Hebrews and look at how the author of Hebrews pulls from all of these Exodus references, all of these Old Testament references, and. [00:00:26] Speaker A: And points us to Jesus. [00:00:27] Speaker B: And so that's where we're going in the next few weeks. And then we'll be to Christmas. [00:00:32] Speaker A: You're like, wait a minute, already Christmas, we're there, right? [00:00:35] Speaker B: We get one cold day and we're [00:00:37] Speaker A: talking about Christmas, right? [00:00:40] Speaker B: Hey, let's read this passage. I'm excited just to jump into this. [00:00:44] Speaker A: And really the whole theme of this is just the glory of God. [00:00:50] Speaker B: And so I'm excited to jump into [00:00:52] Speaker A: this and start to bring this out out as we see the way that the glory of God impacts the people of Israel. [00:00:59] Speaker B: And so let's read this text and [00:01:01] Speaker A: then we'll pray and then jump into it together. [00:01:04] Speaker B: Exodus chapter 40, verse 34 to 38 says this. Then the cloud covered the tent of [00:01:12] Speaker A: meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. [00:01:17] Speaker B: And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the clouds settled on it. And the glory of the Lord fell, filled the tabernacle throughout all their journeys. Whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out. But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out till the day that it was taken up. For the cloud of the Lord was [00:01:43] Speaker A: on the tabernacle by day, and the fire was in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel through, throughout all their journeys. Let's pray, and then we'll jump into this together. Lord, we are thankful for your word which guides us, which teaches us, which tells us what's true, Lord. And so this morning, as we study your word corporately, as we look at it together, Lord, I pray that your spirit might impact our heart and our mind, Lord, that we might believe that [00:02:14] Speaker B: which is true and that that might impact our affections of what we long [00:02:18] Speaker A: for, and that that might show up in the way that we act, Lord, that we would be your people, multiplying your glory to the ends of the earth. Lord, would you do that this morning by your spirit, we ask it in Jesus name. Amen. [00:02:35] Speaker B: Well, let me just ask you a [00:02:36] Speaker A: question, just to begin. [00:02:38] Speaker B: We read a text like this, and I think, myself included, I can't help [00:02:42] Speaker A: but just go to a place like, man, that would be cool. [00:02:45] Speaker B: Like, we read that and it's like, [00:02:46] Speaker A: that would be pretty awesome. [00:02:48] Speaker B: That would make life simple, right? [00:02:50] Speaker A: Like, hey, we're following the cloud. Like, that's, that's what we're doing. Where it goes, we go. Where it stays, we stay. That would be easy. [00:03:00] Speaker B: And yet the reason I read that passage in John is that I think that sometimes we read into these Old Testament passages and we long for something [00:03:11] Speaker A: that, that we have. [00:03:14] Speaker B: We don't realize what we have and that what we have is even better than what they had. So let me ask you this question. Would you trade the Spirit in you [00:03:27] Speaker A: for the Spirit beside you? [00:03:30] Speaker B: Would you trade the Holy Spirit in you for the Holy Spirit beside you? [00:03:37] Speaker A: Just wherever he goes, that's where I'm gonna go. Would you trade that? [00:03:41] Speaker B: See, I think that that's one of the things that, as I was just thinking about it, like, man, what is it that I long for that I want that? Like, well, I think it's because it's easy to follow. [00:03:54] Speaker A: And yet I forget all the truths of what Jesus has told us, what God has told us in his word about what the Spirit does in us. [00:04:03] Speaker B: And so we're going to make some applications to that towards the end of the service. [00:04:07] Speaker A: But. [00:04:07] Speaker B: But let's just walk through this text and let's pull out and let's see what this conclusion, right? We've got the whole book of Exodus, and this is the conclusion. And so what is it that we've been longing for, that we've been looking for, that the book of Exodus has been pushing us towards, has been illuminating for us that we would get to this place. And here's where we see it. The beginning is that the glory of [00:04:31] Speaker A: God fills the dwelling place of God. [00:04:34] Speaker B: That the glory of God fills the dwelling place of God. Look at verse 34 and 35 again. He says it twice. He bookends it here that. That the glory of the Lord is going to fill the tabernacle. Look at verse 34, he says, then the cloud covered the tent of meeting. So the tent of meeting, the tabernacle is the place where God has said he will dwell with his people. So the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting, which Moses is This. This mediator, he's the go between, between the holiness of God and sinful man. And yet God has come to dwell in this. This tabernacle, this place of meeting. And yet Moses can't go in. Why? It tells us because the clouds settled on it and the glory of the Lord filled the the tabernacle. Let's just take a journey from the book of Exodus that this cloud, this glory of God, we first see it in Exodus 13, that it's a pillar [00:05:41] Speaker A: which leads the people of Israel out of Egypt. [00:05:45] Speaker B: It's a cloud and a fire. And so we've already seen that the people of Israel are accustomed to God showing up in a cloud which would lead them. That's how they were led out of Egypt. We've also seen that in Exodus 14 that this cloud stood between Israel and Egypt whenever the Egyptian army was coming up against them. Then it says that the cloud settled [00:06:11] Speaker A: and that it separated for a night the Egyptian army from the people of Israel. [00:06:17] Speaker B: It protected them, that God's presence, his [00:06:19] Speaker A: glory, protected the people. [00:06:24] Speaker B: Exodus 19. The people have come out to Mount Sinai, the place where God said, I [00:06:29] Speaker A: will bring you back here and you'll worship me on this mountain. [00:06:32] Speaker B: And they stand there and they've been given this instruction that they shall not touch the mountain. That no animal shall touch the mountain lest it die. That do not come up on the mountain because God's presence is going to dwell. [00:06:47] Speaker A: And they watch as fire and smoke come down on this mountain. That the presence of God is terrifying, [00:07:00] Speaker B: that the language in that part of Exodus, that the earth shook, that they heard the quake of the voice of the Lord. It's terrifying for them that they couldn't come near to the holiness of God, to his glory as it came down on the mountain. And now we've moved from that reality [00:07:22] Speaker A: to now the glory of the Lord sits in the midst of the people. [00:07:30] Speaker B: It's filling the tabernacle. That he's near to them, but yet we get a glimpse here. That he's near, but he's not ordinary, right? He's near. But even Moses can't go into the tabernacle. He's near to them, but yet his nearness doesn't erase his holiness. It doesn't erase his separateness, his otherness, that even Moses can't go in. The God who met his people at [00:08:04] Speaker A: Sinai is now dwelling in the midst of their camp. Like we just can't get over that. [00:08:14] Speaker B: Who is this God who would come so near, who would make himself available to his people? But I want to just remind us of something. This is a story of Exodus, that the presence of God among his people, [00:08:30] Speaker A: it's not this reward for their perfect obedience, right? [00:08:34] Speaker B: Like, God didn't just say, like, okay, I'll come dwell among you because you obeyed me. [00:08:39] Speaker A: Really? [00:08:39] Speaker B: Well, that's not it. The presence of God is actually just a glimpse of his character. That's one of the things that we've been seeing in the book of Exodus is that the book of Exodus lifts up the character of God. That he's gracious and merciful, slow to [00:08:54] Speaker A: anger and abounding in steadfast love. [00:08:56] Speaker B: That he forgives our sins, our iniquity, and our transgressions, who will by no [00:09:01] Speaker A: means clear the guilty, that he's just. [00:09:05] Speaker B: And so we've. We've seen the character of God lifted up here, that. [00:09:09] Speaker A: That he's not showing up because of their perfect obedience. They didn't earn his presence. No, he's showing up because he's made a covenant. He made a promise to his people, and he's keeping his promise. [00:09:25] Speaker B: He's demonstrating his gracious commitment that he [00:09:29] Speaker A: will be their God and that they will be his people. And so he's dwelling among them. The glory of God fills the tabernacle. [00:09:44] Speaker B: It's incredible, this thing that all of these people, if we just think about [00:09:51] Speaker A: it, like, think about the people sitting around and seeing this, like, oh, yeah, I wove that curtain. Oh, yeah, we donated to be a part of what God's doing. Like, we gave our jewelry to be a part of the gold that made that piece. [00:10:10] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. I was a part of smelting the bronze, and I got to be a part of that. And then to see the glory of God come and that they got to [00:10:20] Speaker A: be a part of it, it's an [00:10:22] Speaker B: incredible blessing for the people that they all got to partake in what God [00:10:27] Speaker A: is doing in meeting with his people. [00:10:30] Speaker B: But the second thing that I want [00:10:31] Speaker A: us to see in here is really where I want to camp out a little bit. [00:10:35] Speaker B: It's that the presence of God leads his people. So we see that God makes his dwelling place with his people. But then look at verse 36 and 37. That the presence of God is what leads his people throughout all their journeys, right? That this isn't the end. This is just a part of the journey. That God has a purpose and a plan that he gave to Abraham. That I'm gonna make you into a people. I'm gonna bring you into a land, and you're gonna be a blessing. To many nations. And so God's keeping that promise. And so throughout all their journeys, whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out. But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out until the day that it was taken up. There's a couple things that I just [00:11:28] Speaker A: want us to observe in this. [00:11:30] Speaker B: The first is that the people must follow God's direction. [00:11:34] Speaker A: Like, let's just read into this a little bit. That you've got a family, and so they're camping and the glory of God's resting on the tabernacle. And so. So they're kind of making some plans, right? Like, they're planning for next week. And maybe the mom's like, meal prepping for the whole week. And they've sat down, the husband and [00:11:58] Speaker B: wife have sat down with the family calendar. And it's like, okay, well, the kids have these games and you got to pick them up from the tabernacle because they're going to be studying and you got to get them from this place to their playing. They're playing maybe lamb leather ball or something like that, that they got this sport over here. And so they're making all these plans, [00:12:21] Speaker A: and then the glory of God, the cloud comes off the tent and they got to move. Well, they've got a decision to make. Are we going to submit ourselves to the obedience of the glory of God and following him? [00:12:43] Speaker B: Or are we gonna say, well, but [00:12:47] Speaker A: we're really busy right now? [00:12:50] Speaker B: Or are they gonna say, well, we'll do that later. They've got a decision to make, right? Like, will we lay down our priorities and our commitments and everything at the feet of obedience to God, [00:13:08] Speaker A: or will we keep that? See, there's a decision to make right [00:13:11] Speaker B: there that the presence of God leads his people because the presence of God [00:13:18] Speaker A: has a plan for his people. [00:13:21] Speaker B: Listen, it's not just nebulous that God has a plan and a mission and a purpose for each of us, that he knows the number of days he orders our steps, he knows the number of hairs on our head, that he has a plan and a purpose for each of us and his presence in his spirit lead us if we'll submit to Him. I mean, again, we've done this a few times, but imagine the tragedy of a people that said, the presence of [00:13:53] Speaker A: God is moving, but I'm gonna stay. What? [00:13:59] Speaker B: You get the glory of God, his presence dwelling among you, and. And you're gonna choose something else over Him. Why would you do that? [00:14:10] Speaker A: Well, the reason you would do that is because subtly, slowly, you begin to believe that you can do it on your own, that you can function apart from the presence of God, that you [00:14:26] Speaker B: can function apart from his leading and his guiding. That you've begun to believe that obedience isn't something that's necessary to walk in a path of flourishing with the Lord. Oh, maybe that's a suggestion, but I'm [00:14:39] Speaker A: going to do it my way. No. The people, throughout all their journeys, wherever [00:14:46] Speaker B: the cloud was taken up over the [00:14:47] Speaker A: tabernacle, the people of Israel set out. That's an incredible statement. They chose to obey God. [00:14:55] Speaker B: They chose to make him their priority. We're going to plan these things, we're going to do these things, we're going to work hard. [00:15:03] Speaker A: But he trumps everything. So if he says it, we do it. Wherever he goes, we go. [00:15:11] Speaker B: But there's another thing, I think, that's underneath this. If we just spend a minute and think about it, not only was there surrender and submission to God as the [00:15:21] Speaker A: King, that wherever he went, they would go. [00:15:23] Speaker B: But there's another part to this, that wherever, whenever he didn't go, they stayed. I've said this before, that I don't know of anybody that loves waiting on the Lord like this is not just something that people love to do. And yet even in our culture, and even, I would say specifically for our church, which is very motivated people, a lot of times we think that waiting is a failure to progress. [00:15:54] Speaker A: And yet this reminds us [00:15:58] Speaker B: God had a plan and a purpose and he was getting them to a promised land. But you know what he did along the journey? [00:16:04] Speaker A: He said, just wait, [00:16:08] Speaker B: but if we go faster, we'll get there faster. [00:16:11] Speaker A: Just wait. [00:16:13] Speaker B: But we could move further along. [00:16:15] Speaker A: Just wait. [00:16:17] Speaker B: But I could do more. [00:16:19] Speaker A: Just wait. [00:16:21] Speaker B: But what if I try that? [00:16:22] Speaker A: Just wait. My presence will guide you and lead you. [00:16:30] Speaker B: Has the Lord ever told you to wait? To stop striving, to stop trying to figure it all out, to just sit with his presence, to just trust him, [00:16:44] Speaker A: that he has a plan and a purpose for you? I was talking to a former student this week, and she called and she was like, jared, I don't understand this. Like, I was supposed to do this and this and this, but I feel [00:16:56] Speaker B: like there's an uneasiness in me that [00:16:59] Speaker A: I should just not do that. And then I should wait. I was like, then you should wait. [00:17:05] Speaker B: She's like, but I made all these plans. [00:17:07] Speaker A: I was like, cancel them. Just wait. [00:17:13] Speaker B: But I don't wait. [00:17:13] Speaker A: Well, I know [00:17:17] Speaker B: not many of us do, but if we ask that the Lord would guide us. And if we ask and we pray that the Lord would lead us and then he tells us to wait and then we go. [00:17:27] Speaker A: Eh, maybe that's not the Lord. [00:17:29] Speaker B: No, maybe it is. And he's telling us, listen, I have something that I want to teach you. I have something that, that I'm working on that's happening apart from your timing, [00:17:44] Speaker A: but all in my timing. And I need you to wait. There's a great encouragement for us there that not only is it going when the Lord says go, it's also sitting when the Lord says sit. That the Lord teaches us to wait. So how do we know if we ask the question just practically? So how do we know when the Lord is leading us to go? And how do we know when the Lord is leading us to stay? I want to just give you just a few ways that we do that. The first is God's word. [00:18:19] Speaker B: Listen, God's not going to tell you [00:18:20] Speaker A: to do something that is disobedient to His Word. Okay? [00:18:24] Speaker B: If we just think of like a [00:18:25] Speaker A: little flowchart that is God telling me to do this. [00:18:29] Speaker B: Does his word say don't do it then don't do it. Right? Like that's simple. If his word maybe doesn't speak on it and it's in one of these places where it's like, okay, well I don't know if God's word says that. Okay, where do we go from there? Well, we go to the fact that he's given us his spirit to dwell in us. So if we're walking according to the spirit, if we're seeking God's direction for us, then we can trust that God will lead us. I tell people this a lot of times. I'm like, listen, if God wants you to do something, he's really good at making it known. He's used fish to swallow people to get them into places. He's used talking donkeys to tell them things like he's really good at making himself known. If he wants you to do it, he can make sure that you know he wants you to do it. Some of that is that we got to spend time in his word so [00:19:27] Speaker A: we know what he wants us to do. [00:19:29] Speaker B: Some of that is we need to spend time with him so that we [00:19:32] Speaker A: hear his voice when he's telling us to do it. [00:19:36] Speaker B: So his indwelling spirit, his word. Another thing is just through prayer. Prayer isn't just a one way communication. Do you ever in prayer sit and [00:19:48] Speaker A: listen to the Lord? Well, what does that look like, am I going to hear an audible voice? [00:19:53] Speaker B: I never have. But in my spirit, as he speaks to me and reminds me of that which is true, reminds me of the Word, reminds me of the identity and the promises that he's made, then he leads us. And then the other piece of this is, how do we know when God [00:20:16] Speaker A: is leading us to go? And how do we know when God is leading us to stay? [00:20:19] Speaker B: We spend time in His Word, we listen to his spirit, we spend time in prayer. And then he's given us Christian community. He's given us the wisdom of the [00:20:28] Speaker A: body of Christ [00:20:31] Speaker B: that we should ask trusted people, hey, I feel like the Lord's leading me in this. [00:20:41] Speaker A: What do you think we should be honest with them? [00:20:47] Speaker B: These are the things I'm worried about or anxious about or doubting or fearful of. These are the things that I feel like the Lord's encouraging me to or encouraging me to stay. Who are the people in your life [00:20:59] Speaker A: that you can call and trust that [00:21:02] Speaker B: not just they're going to give you business wisdom, not just that they're going [00:21:06] Speaker A: to give you worldly wisdom, but that they're going to seek the Lord for you? And maybe they say, hmm, that's interesting. [00:21:16] Speaker B: This is my initial thought, but let [00:21:18] Speaker A: me pray and get back to you [00:21:21] Speaker B: that they would seek the Lord with you. [00:21:24] Speaker A: In what is the Lord leading for your life? Listen, there are times in our life where God is going to move us and where His Spirit leads, we need to follow. And there's times in our life where he's going to say situation. And when he says sit, we need to follow. And so we need all of these different pieces to help us discern. But the first and initial piece to that is a commitment to say, God, when you say go, I'm going. And God, when you say, stay, I'm staying. Would you make that commitment to the Lord? [00:22:10] Speaker B: No fine print, no excuses? No, like, as long as it fits my timing or as long as it's within this? [00:22:19] Speaker A: No, God, when you say move, I'll move. And when you say sit, I'll sit. Listen, it'll be the greatest journey of your life as you get to follow what the Lord's doing. The third thing that I want us to see in this text is that the glory of God identifies His people. The glory of God identifies his people. Look at verse 38. [00:22:48] Speaker B: For the cloud of the Lord was [00:22:50] Speaker A: on the tabernacle by day, and the fire was in it by night. But look at this. In the sight of all the house of Israel throughout All their journeys, everybody could see [00:23:06] Speaker B: wasn't a secret thing, that God's glory, God's presence identified his people. When you read the rest of the Old Testament, what you see is that God has put himself on display through his people, Israel, in order that the nations might see the character of God. Let me say that again. God put Himself on display by identifying Himself, a holy God, with a sinful people in order that the nations, the people around, that everyone might see the character of God. That's the same thing he's doing today. [00:23:47] Speaker A: I'm gonna put my spirit in you. You. All those who by faith have trusted in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of sins, then he puts his spirit in them. A holy God dwelling in a sinful people. [00:24:05] Speaker B: Why? So that they might demonstrate his character and his glory to a watching world. That's the exact same thing he's doing. But it's his glory in his people that identifies his people. That they have to look different, that they look different because God's glory was resting on them, that his cloud and his fire was on them by day and by night. There wasn't a time where they didn't reflect that they were the people of God. There wasn't a place where they went throughout all their journeys. It wasn't like, well, only when we're in these places or only on Mondays and Wednesdays, that they reflect the glory of God. No, it wasn't, well, on Sunday mornings between these times, but eight to five in my 40 hours a week. No, throughout all their journeys, they reflected the glory of God. This is a great challenge to us, but the thing that I want us to see here is that it goes so much deeper. Not just that they were trying to [00:25:12] Speaker A: manufacture this, but this was their identity. [00:25:16] Speaker B: This is who they are. They are the people of God. They belong to Him. His presence with them reminds them that they belong to him. [00:25:28] Speaker A: That they have a plan and a purpose and that they are a part of a mission of what God's doing. [00:25:35] Speaker B: That they're a part of something that's so much bigger, that's eternal, that they're a part of a mission because God has put his presence in them in [00:25:45] Speaker A: this tabernacle, and he's leading them and he's guiding them because he's on a mission. [00:25:50] Speaker B: That he's on a mission for what was lost in Genesis because of sin, that he's on a mission to restore that. We see in Revelation that the dwelling place of God is with man, and that there's people from every tribe and tongue and nation that are gathered around. And he's dwelling with his people as they worship him. [00:26:10] Speaker A: And that he's on a mission to restore that. And how's he going to do that? He's gonna do that by walking and guiding his people as they reflect his character and as they walk in obedience to him. Man, this is incredible. That when Jesus comes and he calls his disciples to himself. And then he tells them in John 16 that I'm going, and it's better for me to go because I'm gonna put my spirit in you. [00:26:39] Speaker B: The helper's coming. And then you, my witnesses in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. That you're going to be brought before governors and kings for my name's sake. That you're going to be brought in different places. That I'm going to guide and direct you. That I'm going to lead you. And other times I'm going to tell you to stay. And then I'm going to do this in order that you might display the [00:27:03] Speaker A: character of God to the watching world. [00:27:08] Speaker B: And that you'll be reminded that it's not because of your perfect obedience that [00:27:12] Speaker A: I put my spirit in you, but [00:27:15] Speaker B: that it's because of the commitment that [00:27:16] Speaker A: I've made to you in Jesus Christ, the new covenant of his blood. That you are my people and that [00:27:26] Speaker B: I'm using you in this mission. What is that mission? It's the same mission that we see right here. [00:27:32] Speaker A: That the glory of God dwells with his people. And that we now are a part of that mission of multiplying the glory of God. [00:27:42] Speaker B: That's our mission here at Norris Ferry. We want to be a church known for multiplication. Multiplication of what? [00:27:50] Speaker A: The glory of God. [00:27:53] Speaker B: How does that happen? Through planting churches to the glory of God, through evangelism, to the glory of God, through missions to the glory of God. That we want to be a church known for multiplication. The multiplication of the glory of God. How does that happen? [00:28:10] Speaker A: It happens as we remember our identity. That throughout all of our journeys, the glory of God is with us, that his presence is in us. And that we would live that out. A sinful people reconciled to a holy God because of what Christ has done. Sharing that message, that if he can do it for me, he can do it for you. Inviting people in to the mission of God to see his glory. That's what we're about. We believe as a church that that's going to happen. As we intentionally disciple one another. [00:28:53] Speaker B: That we help each other grow in Christlikeness that we help each other grow in what it looks like to display the glory of God. That we would help each other do that. That some of you are more mature and that you would help others, but some of you would look up and help other people. That we're all on a journey together. That there's always someone ahead and there's always somebody behind. And that all of us would be moving in the same direction. That where God moves, we move. And where God stays, we stay. But that we're all growing through intentional discipleship. Through a radical generosity. That God has been radically generous to us in Christ. [00:29:33] Speaker A: And so because of that we can be radically generous to others. [00:29:36] Speaker B: That our hope and our trust is not in riches and wealth, it's not in worldly things, but that our hope [00:29:44] Speaker A: and our trust is in Jesus Christ and Him alone. [00:29:47] Speaker B: That we would be a radically generous people with our resources, with our time, and with our influence. [00:29:54] Speaker A: Why? [00:29:55] Speaker B: That we might multiply the glory of God. [00:30:00] Speaker A: That we would be a holy people. A people set apart that reflect the holiness of God. That. [00:30:12] Speaker B: That we would be a holy people individually, but we would be a holy people corporately. That our reputation would not be a church of hypocrites, but that our reputation [00:30:27] Speaker A: would be that we're a holy people because God calls us to that and because that's what's best for us. We see in the book of Exodus that God didn't rescue a people out of slavery just so that they were free from slavery. He rescued them out of slavery, that he might dwell with them and display his glory. Listen, Jesus didn't come just to rescue you from your sin. [00:31:03] Speaker B: He came to rescue you from your [00:31:04] Speaker A: sin and draw him to Himself in order that you might display his glory. That's the mission of God that He invites us into. Would you pray with me? Lord, we do thank you for your word. Just incredible picture that a holy God would dwell among a sinful people [00:31:36] Speaker B: right in the middle of their camp. [00:31:39] Speaker A: That your presence would go with them, [00:31:41] Speaker B: that you would stay with them. That it wasn't a one time thing. That you stayed with them throughout all their journeys. Throughout the times where it was great and throughout the times where it was bad. You were with them, that you led them, that you told them when to go, you told them when to stay. Because you had a plan and a purpose for them. [00:32:07] Speaker A: Lord, I pray that we would be a people that would learn from what we see of your character in the book of Exodus. And that we, our faith would grow. Our trust in you would grow. [00:32:17] Speaker B: That we would surrender to you our priorities and our schedule. That where you go we want to go and where you stay we want to stay. [00:32:26] Speaker A: That we would trust you or that [00:32:29] Speaker B: we would be reminded of the identity which you bestow upon us. That you rescued us for a mission and a purpose that we might display your glory. Lord, I pray this this week as we leave from this place, as we've gathered together and as we disperse across this city, Lord, as people are gonna fly on business trips across this nation, Lord, I just get excited that you're sending out missionaries with your glory. That as we go to our neighborhoods and as we go to our places of work, Lord, you're sending us on [00:33:13] Speaker A: a mission [00:33:16] Speaker B: to display your glory. [00:33:20] Speaker A: Lord, would we be an obedient people? Would we be a reflective people of what you've done in us? To the watching world, it's in Jesus name we pray. Amen.
